Our firm proudly serves a wide variety of clients. We have represented individuals, small and large businesses, and local governmental entities. While we are based in New Orleans, we have handled cases throughout Louisiana and in other states, working with local counsel.
We welcome referrals and collaboration opportunities from colleagues in the legal community, local counsel, co-counsel, and in-house attorneys. We can assist if your firm has a conflict in a particular matter, needs local counsel in Louisiana, or requires co-counsel for a major piece of litigation.
The attorneys at Lasky Murphy are committed to helping make New Orleans better, from working with local businesses to volunteering our time after Katrina and today addressing the legal needs of our community. We are personally invested in the success of our community. We have called New Orleans home for more than a decade and are proud to be raising our families in this vibrant and diverse city.
During the years after Hurricane Katrina, both Katie and Kerry used their legal skills to meet the needs of so many in our region. Katie staffed legal clinics in the Ninth and Lower Ninth Wards and assisted people in obtaining clear title to their homes so that they could qualify for Road Home and other benefits. Kerry handled unpaid wage claims for workers who assisted in the rebuilding efforts.
Every year, we dedicate hours of professional time and energy to pro bono legal work including representing children in Special Immigrant Juvenile Status proceedings and in immigration court as well as accepting cases through the New Orleans Pro Bono Project. In addition, we serve on boards and committees of local organizations including the Louisiana Bar Foundation. You can often find us serving meals at Ozanam Inn and volunteering at Bricolage Academy, University Montessori School, and Cathedral Montessori School, where our children attend school. Finally, Lasky Murphy is a proud supporter of WWNO, New Orleans Public Radio.
